This is the NFL Monopoly board game, co-licensed with Hasbro. I was responsible for design, photo spec, and print production for the entire game.

The cover was a unique challenge. Because of licensing issues, I couldn't show any team logos, player names, or recognizable faces on the photo; the vast majority of football action shots wouldn't work. I solved this problem by using a shot of the teams squaring off before the snap; it's a close enough shot that the distinguishing characteristics of the uniforms are 'off camera' while generating a sense of anticipation and drama.

I created the 'play diagram' on the game board center with a small chalkboard and colored chalk, referencing an NFL playbook.
