This icon system was developed for SnapTax, a web-based tax preparation application by Intuit. The icons appeared in section headers, spot illustrations and dialogs.

The whimsical treatment was intended to make a stressful task - tax preparation - a bit lighter. I tried to use visual humor wherever possible, such as the piggy banks (used for 'Refund Due' and 'Taxes Owed') and the Uncle Sam money hat (used for 'Taxes Paid').

They worked as intended; during usability testing and testomonials, customers frequently mentioned the icons as their favorite part of the program.
