This project is the visual design for SnapTax, a web-based tax preparation application by Intuit.

SnapTax was created for pencil-and paper filers, and uses extensive dynamic HTML to create an interactive experience. A contextual help pane follows the user through the program, providing immediate assistance that negates the need to flip back and forth between an instruction booklet. The math is displayed in a clear and organized fashion. Numbers calculate dynamically as data is entered, removing any mystery as to how numbers are derived.

The program is specifically designed to evoke an emotional experience. Warm colors, friendly icons, 'plain English' text, and smooth motion all combine to make the tax preparation process as pleasant as possible.
