The Cancer League
Corporate Identity

Freelance Design

The Cancer League, Inc. is a charitable non-profit located in the San Francisco Bay Area. The organization has raised over $3 million since it was founded in 1973.

Most cancer non-profits are tied directly with medical research, so their identities often present a high-tech or scientific look; since the Cancer League is fundraising-only, we aimed for a more corporate, elegant feel. The flower symbolizes the beauty and fragility of life, as well as the certainty of renewal. It also adds some softness and grace to contrast with the classic typeface.

Collateral pieces are designed to be spare and clean to keep printing costs low. It also reassures donors that their funds will be spent wisely.
